Since the “Cruise Carnival” in July through to the 1000-people baptism and Sukkot that has just past, the co-workers, MG leaders and I have been at a spiritual high. There were 500 people baptized at the beach baptism last year and it went just like any other baptism without any news coverage. Praise the Lord, His thoughts are always higher than ours; His providence and provision are always beyond what we can imagine and ask for! The beach baptism for a thousand had been scheduled on the 16th September, but was postponed due to the typhoon. After some twists and turns, we submitted to the leading of God and held the 8 performances of “The Light” Musical and 8 baptisms at the same time from the 28th September to 1st October. In July, right after the Cruise Carnival, in response to the vision of “Planting Trees of Life everywhere in 52 years”, the whole church as one sets her heart on it. All pastoral zones, MG tribes and cell groups have been holding various kinds and different scales evangelistic events, bringing over 1,500 people to Christ in just one month. Our daughter churches swiftly joined us in holding the Sukkot beach baptism on the 16th September, taking the total to 26 branch churches of 10 countries baptizing on the same day. A while back, one early morning, when I was still half asleep, I heard God teaching me, “The Feast of Ingathering is actually Sukkot.” In the Bible, after the Feast of Ingathering at the end of Jewish year comes Sukkot which means the Jews celebrate “Ingathering” before New Year and then “the Feast of Tabernacles”. Praise the Lord for many new friends turning to Christ in the service last week. Between relying on oneself and seeking grace, they responded to the altar call by choosing to follow Jesus, embarking on the faith journey. In the afternoon, 3 on 3 Basketball Match was held on the Young Ya basketball court with over hundred spectators. Despite losing the game, we won 26 souls for the Lord, Hallelujah! Last Tuesday C-Mo and I came back from Belgium, as our 10-day Europe trip ended. Upon returning, we learn that cell groups of different pastoral zones have fervently devoted to various evangelistic activities, bringing over 270 people to Christ. Moreover close to 300 people have signed up for the beach baptism and 24 branch churches shall hold beach baptism on the same day. Following our Saturday service last week, excitedly, I joined C-Mo in Belgium for our Europe trip which was a time of rest as well as a chance to pray for the land that had brought revival of the Gospel in past years. One day, out of the blue, Father God spoke to me in a dream, “Joshua, Sukkot is the Feast of Ingathering.” This was the first time God ever taught me about the Bible in a dream! Last week my sermon was titled, “Enter into the Blessings of Sukkot”. Sukkot will fall on 24th September this year, and prior to that, the Beach Baptism for Thousands on 16th September.   Praise the Lord, it has been over a week after the “Cruise Carnival ‘18” but MG leaders, cell groups and brothers and sisters cannot contain their excitement and amazement of God’s Wonderful Work which granted us a wonderful revival journey and together we testified that 611 vision had indeed set sail. Hallelujah, once again we are greatly thankful for the “Cruise Carnival ‘18” in which over 2,600 brothers and sisters, their friends and families and our branch churches built a super joyful “golden memory ball” together. This event made history in our church, being a great Gospel harvest before “9.16 Baptism for a thousand” and the largest scale carnival and an international family camp of our church. The men and the women, the young and the old, the family and the single all enjoyed the activities greatly, attracting even a Taiwanese Christian newspaper to send in their reporter. Praise the Lord as we encountered His Amazing Grace once again in the outdoor concert “For Your Glory We Fight” last week. Joining the two days’ spectacular outdoor concert, passionate worship services on Sunday and hearing the life testimonies of the youth participants of the concert, we couldn’t repress deep praise and gratitude for the young generation of our church today who has indeed risen up to pass on the vision. Praise the Lord! This coming Friday and Saturday, the outdoor concert, “For Your Glory we fight” organized by the Youth Army will be held at the Hong Kong Cultural Center Piazza. It includes onstage dancing and singing, youth artistic booths, prophetic prayer ministry etc., livens up Tsim Sha Tsui promenade. We are declaring to the whole earth the Glory of God – how wonderful is the God we believe in and how the youth in Christ are full of vigor!
