Quivers filled with Arrows

Praise the Lord as we encountered His Amazing Grace once again in the outdoor concert “For Your Glory We Fight” last week. Joining the two days’ spectacular outdoor concert, passionate worship services on Sunday and hearing the life testimonies of the youth participants of the concert, we couldn’t repress deep praise and gratitude for the young generation of our church today who has indeed risen up to pass on the vision. We are overjoyed having our quivers filled with arrows.

A timid person like me requires extra faith to go for outdoor service, especially facing unpredictable weather. Rain had been forecasted on Saturday which kept the sound system staff awake all night on Friday to be ready for contingency plans.

Around 4pm on Saturday, thick rain clouds covered the venue but great rain only came down to most of northern New Territories, leaving Tsim Sha Shui with only drizzle. The concert completed successfully, even bringing 153 new friends to Christ! It was the result of unceasing prayers for good weather from us, including Rev. Anton Cruz in India who had mobilized his intercessor army to pray for us round the clock. God does listen to prayers!

It had been the dream of many of us to worship outdoor in Tsim Sha Tsui, the centre of Hong Kong to openly declare God’s love and glory to the whole earth and today, it came true by God’s abundant grace. Rev. Dick Eastman of “Every Home for Christ” always prayed in the Cultural Centre Piazza for it to be a public worship venue whenever he stayed in any hotel in Tsim Sha Shui. Praise God that the outdoor concert “For Your Glory We Fight” has fulfilled the dream of the young and old alike. God is for real!

On-stage young people were dancing and singing fervently for the Lord, with the magnificent night vista of Victoria Harbour at the back, joined by frequently pass-by giant sailboat and the performance of “A Symphony of Lights”. Support team was on full force behind the stage, while brothers and sisters joined in zealously off stage and the energetic youth artistic booths boosted up the atmosphere. What a wonderful blend and amazing picture it was and every part of it was declaring the glory of God the Father.

Dear brothers and sisters, here we have seen God and here we shall thank God and respond to His calling us to shepherd His sheep. It is by God’s grace that the youth can be used in such a mighty way. Also it is God’s discipleship and meticulous nurturing through our church in these seventeen years that our youngsters can take up the vision today, bringing even their fifth and sixth generation disciples onto this brand new platform to magnify the glory of God. Hallelujah!
