After last Sunday service, C-Mo and I went to Taiwan, joined by three of our disciple couples, organizing “The Intimate Opponent Conference” for over fifty pastor couples. Launching the new book “The Intimate Opponent”, we shared about the “Couple’s Boxing Ring”, “Four Mountains for the Husband”, “Four Mountains for the Wife” and the truth of “Shekinah Ladder”. How thankful we are that through “The Intimate Opponent”, God reveals to us the mystery between couple relationship and the Glorious Church in a more profound way.
The next day, taking few pastor couples from branch churches and disciple churches for a stroll, we explained in depth to them that the clashing on the boxing ring aims for more intimate relationship so that they shall comprehend that many church developments and ministries sprout up from good couple relationship. Through the interaction and mutual love between couple, they may grasp more of the Truth and hence enjoy lighter and easier discipleship and ministry.
Last week, during the co-worker meeting, we announced further arrangement of “Taichung 611” which greatly excited Pastor Xiu- Yu who was overjoyed and jumped on stage to hug C-Mo. Her big movement alarmed our dog Favor who was lying between C-Mo and I, he immediately barked and ready to go for her. Without second thought, I shouted him down and prevented him from leaping forward.
Rushed to hug and pacify him, we realized that he mistook someone was attacking C-Mo, therefore he dashed to counter-attack. Dogs keep their eyes on their masters and pay great attention to the environment. His desperate protection over his masters largely touched us! From the interaction with our dog, we reflected on the relationship between man and God. Oh Lord, how we long to stay so close to You that we may move in step with the Holy Spirit.
Many talk of their desire to follow “611” and acknowledge us as their spiritual parents as they thought that there were sets of church revival solutions and teaching materials available here. They adopt morning devotion, power ministry, organizational structures and even our church design in their own churches, believing that they are following us. In fact, “Follow” is to discern the movement of the Holy Spirit and follow suit. Core values will not bring prosperity to relationship, work and discipleship by simply being stuck on the wall. As leaders, we must walk our talk, listen attentively to the Lord, wait patiently and not be easily stirred by the environment or our likings.
Dear brothers and sisters, “The Glorious Church starts from couple relationship” is the truth God has entrusted us to preach on, which we shall continue to humbly commit ourselves in. Facing warfare and difficulties, we should not be afraid, as we keep following God and living out the truth, our interpersonal relationships will definitely be more genuine and intimate.
