The Power of Resurrection
Hallelujah! Jesus Christ is risen! We who believe in Him bear the resurrected life which is full of hope! Today, not only are we joyfully celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we also spread the message of resurrection so that the whole of Hong Kong even to the ends of the earth shall hear of this great news and receive the resurrected life.
Besides the upcoming “Little Donkey Action” which is to imitate Christ in serving with humility by cleaning the countryside and cities of Hong Kong over the Easter holiday; this Sunday, we will get on ferry and
coach, passing through Victoria harbour and major streets of Hong Kong, proclaiming, “Jesus is Risen”, “We are full of hope”, “Hong Kong will be better”!
Praise the Lord! The sixth and last session on “The New Wineskin Marriage series” finished last Sunday. After preaching on “Couple’s Boxing Ring”, “Shekinah Ladder”, “Four Mountains for the Wife” and “Four Mountains for the Husband”, we grasp more about the perfect will of God in marriage, His design of the roles of man and woman; moreover, we comprehend deeper how to nourish a godly marriage relationship. The mystery of marriage signifies the relationship between Christ and the Church which is key in discipleship as well as the way of revival in transforming city, society and generation.
“The New Wineskin Marriage” is a brand-new message which to some brothers and sisters, requires much time to digest and practice. Hence, to the fifty more Taiwanese pastor couples attending “The Intimate Opponent special camp” hosted by us last week, more time was given for them to contemplate and implement. Having shared the message, we trust that the Holy Spirit will continue to work, new wine goes on overflowing and the message will be deepened. For example, the message on “Shekinah Ladder” of “Men confess, Women give thanks” will be expounded more so that we may understand more thoroughly the destined way of returning to the glorious marriage and becoming a glorious Church.
We have received from God that 2018 will be a year of “Return”, brothers return to the role and destiny as men and sisters likewise, a process of scaling. May it be climbing mountain or going up stairs, difficulties are inevitable. As long as we truthfully discover ourselves, especially our shortcomings, with a humble heart we trust in God, then we shall definitely recover, understand and embrace who we are so that at the end we may re-embark on the journey, soar on high again, return to the goodness God has purposed for us and return to the good will of God for this world.
Surely, we trust neither in chariots nor horses, but the power of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Under the discipleship of grace and truth, the whole church is being renewed and thus growing continuously. These seventeen years, we have seen many people being healed and delivered from sickness, bondages and addictions; coming out of debt; broken or dysfunctional relationships such as couple or parent-child are being restored, all these are the Resurrection Power of Jesus Christ!
Praise God! Jesus Christ is Risen! May I wish every brother and sister to receive the resurrection power, keep growing, be courageous in discipleship in order to build up the Body of Christ so that the Church shall be Glorious and become the Tree of Life, the head over all things and uniting all things in Christ.
