Attending the Seed Course has been a great blessing.

It has taught and reinforced important truthsessential for us as followers of Jesus and as future church leaders. One day we will need to teach these principles to our cell group members.

The first lesson was about prayer. The more we pray, the more we encounter God, who is the source of all good in our lives.

Beyond just communicating with God, we can know His will for our lives. We can develop patience to wait, trusting that He will act and provide. We also learned that we can pray for everyone around us, so that both they and we may live a life full of peace and tranquility, knowing that God is with us.

There was a lesson Bible reading. Our lives will be filled with blessing and prosperity when we love the Word of God. Reading His Word gives us wisdom and guidance so that everything goes well for us. His Word is our lamp.

The lesson on water baptism was also a great blessing. It reminded us that we are saved by turning away from sin and believing in Jesus Christ as our Saviour. Water baptism itself doesn’t save us, but it brings spiritual blessings. Through it, we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. Upon baptism, we have the power of Christ’s resurrection to overcome sin.

Once we have confessed Jesus as our Saviour, we become part of the great family that is the Church. We come together in fellowship and celebrate Jesus. The church is His body, and Jesus, our Saviour, is the head. As the body, we represent Jesus in the world today for His glory.

We are all called to be part of a cell group, where we share as a family with simplicity and humility and where we are discipled. We are all called to become a cell leader and disciple others. On our own, we’ll never feel fully prepared, but our ability will grow out of our desire to give something to others. The most important thing is to have a willing heart to walk with others. We know we have God’s backing and authority to go and make disciples, because that was the command Jesus gave us before He left.
