The Harder It Is, the More We Launch

Two weeks ago, we received the message of “Launch 2025.” Everyone was excited and filled with hope for the New Year, looking forward to a bright future. However, when we tune in the news, we face with continuous natural disasters and human tragedies. How should we respond to God’s revelation?

In fact, the beginning of 2025 was hit with various bad news: wildfires in Los Angeles, a 6.8 magnitude earthquake in Tibet, and a 6.9 magnitude earthquake in Japan. At the same time, South Korea was experiencing an outbreak of influenza, with a sharp increase in pneumonia deaths. On another front, a new president was about to take office in the U.S., and the China-U.S. trade war was escalating. Additionally, climate conditions were becoming more extreme, with each year being the hottest on record and temperatures continuously rising.

Faced with this harsh environment, our hearts may feel heavy. But with God, we need not fear! Every year, we hope for things to be better than the last, yet over the years, things seem to get worse. Take Hong Kong as an example: the Occupy Central movement occurred in 2014, followed by social movements in 2019, and the pandemic began in 2020. Now, the economy shows no signs of recovery. Even so, we still believe that the Lord continues to reign.

In the New Year, as we follow God, we shouldn’t expect the world to get better. In fact, as we approach the end times, the world will grow darker, and the powers of the beasts from the earth and sea will increase. So instead, we must believe in the power of the Holy Spirit and God’s sovereignty, which empower us to face all disasters and maintain hope in darkness. We shouldn’t expect that as the work of the Holy Spirit becomes greater, darkness in the world will be gone; on the contrary, the work of the Holy Spirit is manifested even more in darkness. We should also not think that the darker the world gets, the weaker the church becomes. That is not true! We must prepare our hearts to follow God’s will closely, believing that even the world is in chaos, God will always make a way for us.

This year, God has given us Psalm 25, and I would like to share verse 10 with you: “All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth to such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.” (Psalm 25:10) The meaning of the original text of this verse is that all of the Lord’s ways are full of mercy and truth for those who keep His covenant and commandments. Even though the world is in turmoil, we must hold on to God’s word and walk His path, for He treats each of us with love, truth, righteousness, and goodness. We do have a path to walk, and God will launch us on this path; we will dwell in prosperity and our descendants shall inherit the earth.

Dear brothers and sisters, do not let the chaos of the world affect our faith in God. Let us continue to focus on Him. When we are launched onto God’s path, we will soar above all difficulties. The harder the world gets, the more we must be launched by God!■【2025.01.19】
