Ongoing Revival and Ongoing Church-building

We are grateful that we have never stopped building church for the past 23 years. On one morning devotion in July, we read from the book of Chronicles that David desired to build a house for God to dwell in. In the time of compiling the book, the Israelites just returned from exile, without security and under attack. They were lacking financially and their situation was difficult. Yet, the author was telling them that building the temple to keep God’s presence was the most important thing! Ever since we moved to Tsuen Wan, our demand for space has been increasing and we have never stopped building church.

As early as on June 11, 2004, I received the vision of Zechariah’s Temple Building Revival Project during the Morning Devotion and the project began right away. At the end of 2006, the owner of the North Point pier suddenly notified us to move out, so we moved to Tsuen Wan. We had only a total offering of HK$4 million, while purchasing the 1st floor of Wealthy Garden required HK$30 million. But God is awesome! After paying the 10% down payment, our brothers and sisters offered generously and the bank was willing to grant us mortgage without any collateral. At the time, a social organization could not own property, so our church had to switch from an organization to a limited company. The process took quite some time, but the bank was willing to wait. When I rushed to the owner with our corporate seal, I realized that if I had delayed only a little while, another buyer would have bought with an additional HK$5 million. When we build the church for God, He will take care of everything.

I am grateful that in the past, Adino and then Arlen were leading our church-building. Arlen came to our church when he was in high school, and at 24 he was called to serve as a co-worker and it was at the later stage of building the Mercy Seat. Today, our church-building team keeps expanding and he has become the longest-serving member. He is fully committed and I really appreciate him. Besides, media development is also of great importance. The person in charge of media, Wei Min, said that compared to pre-pandemic times, the operation and teams of media have changed a lot. Back then, one person was sufficient to handle the sound system, but now it requires three to five people. Therefore, we have not only to develop the place but also people in church-building. It won’t work for a person to have skills but poor relationships. And even when we have the right person, it won’t work either if the place is insufficient.

We have never stopped building church because God is with us and makes us grow. God wants us to expand our tent and plant the Trees of Life everywhere. Dear brothers and sisters, we are in the midst of revival and more and more people from the nations are joining us. Let us all participate in the ongoing revival and ongoing church-building!■【2024.08.25】
