2024 has begun amid a series of natural and man-made disasters. How are we going to follow God facing the escalated turbulence? How do we, God’s people, prepare ourselves to face various challenges? Thank God that He protects us and reigns over all the earth. Whatever happens, He always has the answer!
At the end of last year God gave me Psalm 46, saying, be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! This answer truly strengthens our heart. The verses tell us that God is our strong tower and we should trust in Him and behold His works. If we immerse ourselves in various shakings and react, our attention goes to the world and problems. Hence God wants us to be still and effortless!
Being effortless is easier said than done. We must respond with faith. Ps K.W. the Senior Pastor of Wonderful 611 looks back at his six-year of pastoring a church, he realizes that he always runs to God, his strong tower when he faces all kinds of problems. He is able to solve all his problems. He acknowledges that it is not because what he can do but God moves!
KW is facing some health issues. He was found to be at the fourth stage of kidney failure during a body check last year which is worrying. However, I believe God is his shelter and moat and He shall care for him till the end! As we recall how God has cared for us, we shall be effortless!
Pastor Deborah has also experienced how wonderful God is as she has found out that the Sunday service message last week matched her prophecy perfectly. She was in awe: God is truly speaking to us! At the service when I called the congregation to take a prophetic action by “running to the strong tower”, she saw that brothers and sisters walked up the stage in order and that they were deeply moved by the message and the testimony. She then knew how true and precious was God’s word and trusted God’s protection even more!
Dear brothers and sisters, we should not only look up to God and behold His works, but also rise up to worship and pray more to enter into His strong tower and hide in Him! In the end times, the work of the Holy Spirit will be greater. It will be effortless for us as we continue to trust in and rely on Him. The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge!■【2024.01.14】
