Last Resurrection Sunday, three young pastors from our Youth Army, Tim, Jackson and Edmond took up the role as the preachers in turn in the five services and preached the message at the Mercy Seat for the first time. I offer my thanks to God for this as I see that He is raising up our younger generation to ascend together with Him.
Though with different growth experiences, all of them had God leading them and speaking to them individually. God is truly elevating them.
Jackson was baptized on the Resurrection Sunday twenty years ago and at that moment God called him to serve full-time. Today twenty years later, he is right on this way and even preaching the message at the Mercy Seat. He feels deeply the resurrection power of God.
Tim shared his testimony on overcoming homosexuality at the Purim Service ten years ago. He has never imagined that today ten years later, he has not only had a wonderful marriage but also become a co-worker, together with his wife Ripple. Coincidently they served simultaneously on stage at that service, with him preaching and her worshiping. It’s so amazing!
Edmond felt nervous before preaching, but he heard God speak to him: My child, resurrect! It happened that when he had the ten-minute preaching for his graduation from the Bible School, he drew the lot and got the bible verses on the first miracle by Jesus, turning water into wine. Today the passage he was preaching was on the seventh miracle, the resurrection of Jesus. Though feeling inferior, as soon as he heard God say to him, “Today is the time for your resurrection,” he went up the stage with confidence.
They enrolled on my Expository Preaching course at the Bible School and I felt so proud of them as my students could preach at the Mercy Seat. After they shared the message, I went up and gave a final touch and led the response time to push the message further into the Truth. As I did this, they could feel covered and supported and feel secure and free to preach. It’s so wonderful for me to serve together with young pastors this way!
Thank God for leading the younger generation to ascend because I see great hope for planting Trees of Life everywhere in 52 years. As it’s impossible for me to go to every place, the vision of planting is to be actualized by them and their younger generations. I believe that God is preparing them and the thing I can do is to provide platforms for them and help and prune them, establishing them with love. May God continue to use them mightily to become blessings for more youngsters!
