The Tree of Life that bears much fruit

At the end of last month, our 611 Bible School successfully held its Graduation Ceremony as well as Teacher Appreciation Gathering. After a fruitful learning journey, students offered their thanks, telling how their lives had been transformed in the Lord. I was deeply moved seeing the vibe was so Tree of Life. Thank God for establishing the Tree of Life which has borne much fruit everywhere!

Our 611 Bible School is different from traditional seminaries in that it is not inclined to passing knowledge but stresses much on the growth of life. Our church and the teachers work closely to nurture the students to be God’s workers – who are able to receive and pass on love and are willing to change. In this way, they love God and others, offer God-pleasing ministries and glorify God.

Students have been transformed by God greatly in the Bible School no matter what they were like before. One of my disciples Larry was busy running his company but had decided to join the school part-time. He attended the school two mornings each week. Amazingly his company has got more business afterwards but he felt less burdensome. Now that he has finished the whole course in four years, he has learnt how to enjoy relationships and life. He has been rid of many distorted values and inner fears and is able to exercise authority to allocate work to his staff. Moreover, he has started to disciple his staff and is planting the Tree of Life at his company.

Another student Peter has also got his marital relationship transformed. He used to work long distance from home, spending very little time with his wife for more than twenty years. He thought highly of himself because he was the bread-winner of his family and he also kept sharing the gospel. After two years’ full-time study, he discovered that he had been living in solitude and did not need his wife as his helper. Now he thinks that family is very important and his wife indispensable. With the relationship with his wife restored, his relationship with his children has also changed. After he has taken the courage to admit his wrongdoings to his children and repented, his daughter has raised up to bring a whole family to Christ.

Peter’s classmate Lam Kuen came to Hong Kong with her five-year old child many years ago and was abandoned by her husband. She wanted to go back to China but was rejected by her mother. She was left with no choice but to work hard to raise up her son. Here in the School she has experienced healing and learned to be loved and has gradually grown in love and trust. She then realizes that she is God’s daughter and is precious. She is now much freer and happier and even becomes our co-worker, committed to serving God.

The Bible School is bearing fruit home and abroad and we devote ourselves together to serve the Lord. I am very grateful for this. Dear brothers and sisters, may we continue to follow closely and bear much fruit in our lives.■【2022.12.11】
