Last Sunday, Yohane Kina preached “Christ was Born at Sukkot” at ANEW service when he shared how Okinawa 611 experienced major financial breakthrough after observing Sukkot.
Okinawa 611 BOL World Mission Church has begun to celebrate the Sukkot from 2018. For a long time, our church was plagued by financial troubles. Our land lord forced us to purchase the church car park land in 2015, for more than double the original price! Our church school was having less and less students each year, from 120 students in 2010 to 80 students in 2015, further straining our management. Purchasing every air-conditioner, instrument, garden maintenance tools, LED light bulbs, or any other necessary items over HKD5000 , would be a war over whether or not to purchase those necessities.
A typhoon hit us one Saturday during 2018 October, sending our entire district into blackout and uprooted our biggest palm tree. Ironically, the palm tree branches were used for our very first Sukkot celebrations on Sunday, and our church did not have a black out! Following year, our finance was no longer in the red! In order to avoid the tax collectors from taking our profits, we were scrambling to spend money on buying new air-conditioner, microphones, playground tools, Christmas lights, and even a new concrete pavement! God had turned around our financial situation totally. Praise God that He has blessed us as we celebrate His real birthday with Him!
