Walking in God’s Rhythm
Thank God for speaking to us through a series of coincidences on the number “50”! He is doing great things and we are walking in His rhythm. Last Friday (March 12) morning, out of the blue, a brother gave me a brand-new 50-dollar note. There were two things special about it: first, its serial number was BV611611. Secondly, it had an imprint of a butterfly. “BV” means Blessed Victory. As the number 611 appeared twice on the note, it was calling us to pay special attention.
Besides the serial number on the banknote, God has given me several visions in the past year: the bright cloud appeared in front of my house on April 28 last year; the double rainbow at the seaside on June 16 (please refer to “Following God” last year for details on these two visions). After that, on August 5 last year, a butterfly came into my house and rested on my palm, this is recorded on my phone.
During this period, a little bird which I name “Ping Pong” has built its nest in my garden. Some little animals and insects have also made my house their homes too. I am touched seeing that as we bless the land, it is no longer in curses, then all things come to us and work for us. As a result, our family and our work will be blessed.
Most amazingly, the butterfly that landed on my hand shared the same pattern as the one imprinted on the banknote the brother gave me! Actually, there are various butterfly patterns on the current 50-dollar banknotes and yet the two butterflies were of the same pattern. What a coincidence that the banknote appeared the day before I preached the Sunday message. It is truly amazing and wonderful!
The face value of the banknote is 50 dollars. Last week, the fourth Commandment was preached. On the 50th day after the Israelites left Egypt, God descended on Mount Sinai and made a covenant with them and gave them the Ten Commandments. Number “50” also signifies the Day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came down. Thinking about all these, I knew that God had something to tell us. As I counted the interval between the three visions He gave me – 50 days from the appearing of cloud in front of my house to making covenant by the double rainbow. There were another 50 days between the appearance of the double rainbow to the butterfly landing on my palm. I was most astonished to learn that we filmed the 50th episode of “Following God” last week!
Last Wednesday (March 17) Morning Devotion, we read chapter 6 of the book of 1 Samuel: “And they set the ark of the Lord on the cart, and the chest with the gold rats and the images of their tumors.”(1 Samuel 6:11) Miracle occurred right at verse 12. During the response time that morning, I was brought to mind the image of coronavirus – numerous crowns on a head, emphasizing the pride of man. We are to take down our crowns and lay them down before God. In Zechariah 6:11, “Take the silver and gold, make an elaborate crown, and set it on the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest.” In the New Testament, the high priest Joshua referred to Jesus who shall reign and bring us peace. We have to take God as God and offer Him golden crown.
Dear brothers and sisters, having received the two “611” (1 Samuel 6:11 and Zechariah 6:11), may I invite all to offer silver and gold so that we may make an elaborate crown for Jesus and bow before to Him. When we walk in the truth, God will surely bring us peace. Let us submit ourselves to God’s rhythm and guidance, and continue to follow Him in faith.■[2021.03.21]
