The recent sermon shared from Exodus, where the Israelites followed God’s pillar of cloud and fire to move forward. Similarly, God’s cloud has guided 611 for 24 years, from Fort Street to the North Point Pier, and then to Tsuen Wan, as we continue to build His temple. Looking back, it is filled with grace.
Exodus 40:34-38 mentions the cloud five times in just these verses. The cloud represents the presence of God. Moses wanted to enter the tabernacle and step into the cloud, but he could not enter and had to wait for God’s appointed time. Just as Moses spent 40 days on Mount Sinai, waiting six days before meeting God on the seventh day, God leads us with precision in His directions and timing. Seeing the cloud is His grace; entering the cloud is an even greater blessing!
Among my disciples, four have been part of 611 for over 20 years, following God’s cloud and our church faithfully to this day. Annie, in her workplace leadership position, has shepherded many brothers and sisters in the finance sector, bringing the biblical truths and core values she learned from the church into her professional environment, becoming a source of blessing. Even in retirement, she actively serves God as a non-paid co-worker, continuing to follow God’s pillar of cloud and fire. Gloria joined 611 in 2002 as a staff member. Once when facing deep struggles in her life, she even wanted to end it. Yet, by God’s grace, she chose not to give up but to submit and follow, resulting in breakthroughs in her life. Today, she continues to experience God’s great grace through worshiping and serving in the bible school.
Due to her broken marriage Grace came to Hong Kong in great distress to keep her child company. Not only did God allow her to be filled with the Holy Spirit, but He also performed a miracle by enabling her to obtain Hong Kong residency within half a year. Her life has been transformed to this day, becoming a mighty warrior in God’s kingdom. Ruby received my call in 2003, inviting her family to come to Hong Kong from Vancouver to serve. Although Hong Kong was battling SARS at the time, she responded in faith within just 20 minutes. Today, she has become a warrior bride, continuing to follow God’s pillar of cloud and fire.
Reflecting on my own humble self, I am amazed that God would entrust us with the glorious Gospel. Only by offering a listening ear and a humble heart can we closely follow God’s lead and respond to His grace. Dear brothers and sisters, the pillar of cloud and fire has been guiding 611’s path for 24 years, walking with us. God’s blessings and promises never change. When we have ears that can hear, grace enters our lives. May the Lord bless us all! ■【2025.07.13】
