Become God’s Mighty Representatives

In recent Sunday services, we have been reading Exodus, learning from God how to become royal priests in our lives and act as God’s mighty representatives. Yet, do we truly believe in this truth?

God speaks to us through Exodus 7:1: “So the Lord said to appointed Moses to represent Him before Pharaoh. Similarly, God cherishes us, His children, so much that He sees us as His representatives among people in this world. Over the years, we’ve shared the message of being royal priests, embodied by Tree of Life, but to be honest, we’ve struggled to fully believe and accept it. We’ve viewed ourselves merely as humans and hesitated to imagine having great power that manifests God’s authority.

Why do we hesitate to embrace the truth in the Bible? Many of us face limitations in family relationships and marital relationships, feeling far from noble and lacking the courage to imagine manifesting royal priesthood in the workplace or standing as God’s representative in this world. We are unwilling and afraid to step into this truth. Nevertheless, God’s Kingdom urgently needs people who are willing to believe in this truth, even amid struggles. Like the Israelites who lived in Egypt for a few hundred years, we may carry the “leaven from Egypt” in our thoughts. For example, we approach Exodus with worldly perspectives, influenced by family conflicts, friendships marred by rejection, or insults received at work. Our understanding of authority often sees it as oppressive, while we see ourselves as victims. Thus, it becomes hard to believe in the truth, resulting in a tendency to reject the truths of the Bible.

We are often saturated with worldly thoughts and desperately need the Holy Spirit’s help and guidance. Over the years at 611, we’ve witnessed continuous miracles, proving that God indeed uses us and calls our community to live out His purpose and the positions He’s granted us. As I read Proverbs 30:2-3, I see myself reflected in it: “Surely I am more stupid than any man, and do not have the understanding of a man. I neither learned wisdom nor have knowledge of the Holy One.” I’ve had to admit my lack of deeper knowledge of God in the past. I often feel an exciting yet fearful tension with the truth, sometimes even rejecting it, believing that I am incapable of living it out. The stronghold of worldly thinking and past beliefs has led to stubbornness and rebellion, compounded by a lack of true understanding of God. But the truth is that just as God used Moses, He delights in using each one of us, even in our moments of weakness. In the New Testament, Jesus leads us into perfection, demonstrating that God exceeds all expectations by involving each of us who chooses to follow Him.

My dear brothers and sisters, may I urge you to neither be afraid, nor focus solely on the world. Let us live by faith and not by sight. Strive to know God deeply, putting aside worldly thinking so that we can step into His truth together. Let us march forward to become God’s mighty representatives on earth!■【2025.06.15】
