Rejoice: The Story

C-mo invited our ANEW team to collaborate on a new song for last weekend’s 24th church anniversary celebration. This was a Trilogy of the theme of “Rejoice”. We were thrilled to work with our worship team and co-workers.

Our team based our song on Psalm 8 which offered thanksgiving to God: “Lord, our Lord, how excellent is your name in all the earth!” Truly, how excellent is His name throughout the earth! And who are we, who am I, that God is even mindful of us?

When we think of all the works that God has done in our church, our family and us, we are filled with overwhelming gratitude. Our Father’s goodness always launches us into praise and adoration.

Thankful for the Holy Spirit who moved freely among us during the song writing process. We jammed, sang together, and experimented with different rhythms and melodies. And had our first draft in under two hours. The entire process was incredibly joyful and effortless.
