God chooses each person to follow Him, but the devil does not want us to serve God. He tries every possible means to hinder us, and shame is one of his common tactics. When we feel inadequate, unsuccessful, guilty, or unworthy, we cannot see God and are easily bound by the enemy. Therefore, to serve God, we must confront shame and not allow the devil to prevail in our lives!
Several of my disciples have faced the battle with shame: Ruby once believed she lacked eloquence and couldn’t compare to Anna and Adino. But when she needed to translate, she stepped up to the podium with faith, focusing on God rather than herself, and now she has become versatile, used by God in many areas. Anna grew up in a fatherless family, and her mother wouldn’t let her share family matters with others. She lived in an atmosphere of shame; however, when she relied on her Heavenly Father and embraced her chosen identity, God washed away her shame, and today she is our prayer pastor and a wise woman.
Similarly, Debby used to have high expectations of herself and didn’t embrace her own being, often falling into self-accusation and short of others’ expectations. But as she gradually accepted and learned to appreciate herself, her perspective changed, and she no longer felt shame. She began to understand that by surrendering her problems, she could receive help and also assist others out of darkness. Then there’s Lyan, who felt inferior due to her educational background and poor English. However, when she was willing to connect and accept help, she felt recognized and accepted, believing that we love her regardless. She moved past her shame and embraced a fulfilling life.
Shame does not come from God; it comes from the devil, aiming to defeat us. When we compare ourselves to others, it’s easy to feel shame, but God repeatedly emphasizes in the Bible that we should not be ashamed. God sees us as very good, and even when a husband and wife are naked and vulnerable, they do not feel shame (Genesis 2:25). This is His original intention. As followers of God, we must truly believe in Him; knowing that as long as we rely on God and follow Him, He will not let us be ashamed!
Today, I see Ruby, Anna, Debby, and Lyan each breaking free from shame and winning their battles, and I am truly grateful. They were all ordained, each with different gifts, and are now serving God in their respective fields. Dear brothers and sisters, even if the enemy attacks us, God will continue to build us up, allowing us to fix our eyes on Him, discovering the unique qualities He has created in each of us and fulfilling His purpose for us!■【2025.04.27】
