A new “ANEW” family!
As the 2025 Chinese New Year celebrations were approaching so the 611 ANEW team was preparing something really new and exciting for the weekend services of 1-2 February, Launch 2025.
People from the nations gathered and rallied together to serve in all the 611 Mercy Seat services.
What a joy to see and experience brothers and sisters, older and younger, from the nations leading the congregation in white hot worship. We had musicians and singers from Japan, Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Africa, Malawi all worshiping together in the different services. The Malawians – John, Yapie and Ethan – added a wonderful African flavor to the singing and dancing.
There were also ANEW members, from other countries ( Costa Rica and Nigeria) joining in to worship together with the local Hong Kong congregation. All nations were united as one big 611 family.
The Mason family from South Africa, with 7 members and spanning 3 generations ( grandparents, parents and children ) gave testimonies.Their family has been ‘re-united’ as one under the tree of life after 11 years of living apart in different countries. Their heartfelt testimonies centred around their journey, from Africa to Hong Kong, to receive the 611 Tree of Life DNA. They testified to the goodness and faithfulness of God, especially in the light of the difficult choices they needed to make to get to Hong Kong. They needed to sell up everything, resign from a senior management position, euthanize their older dog, give the younger dog to a family friends, and come to Hong Kong on the basis of ‘love and trust’. The Holy Spirit comforted and encouraged them through all the difficult decisions they made.
Pastor Ben and CMO Dinah, from Singapore, preached a powerful and encouraging message from Psalm 92. Their own personal testimonies and transformation enhanced the message they preached, giving hope to all those who listened.
A new day for ANEW has certainly dawned upon all of us last week. We give our Heavenly Father all the glory and honor for doing this marvelous work in the Year Launch 2025.
