The Amazing Seventy; the Miracle of Coincidences

Thank God that we experienced God’s amazing presence as I went back to our mother church, Taipei Bread of Life Christian Church, with my team to participate in the celebration of its 70th Anniversary!

Throughout the trip, God continuously surrounded us with the number seventy: besides our mother church’s 70th anniversary, coincidentally, my 70th birthday is also in this month. Even more remarkably, on the day Pastor Nathaniel Chow invited me to share during the celebration, our church’s morning devotion happened to read Jeremiah 29, which mentioned that the Israelites captivated to Babylon would return to Jerusalem after seventy years. This reminded me of the year 2000 when C-Mo and I left Vancouver, and a friend gave her a present with this scripture about the seventy-year return! These three seventies — our mother church’s 70th anniversary, my 70th birthday, and the return after seventy years —are truly an amazing arrangement by God!

Looking back 46 years ago, when I was 24 years old, a freshman at National Chengchi University in Taiwan, C-Mo brought me to join Taipei Bread of Life Church as a member. At that time, I didn’t realize that I was born in the same year as our home church! I also did not foresee that in 2001, I would be sent by our mother church to establish the 611 Bread of Life Christian Church in Hong Kong. God’s guidance is special; I had been a member for 23 years before being sent out, and then, on the 23rd anniversary of 611, our mother church celebrated its 70th anniversary. At my 70 years of age, I had the opportunity to share at our mother church’s anniversary. This further confirms me that God has chosen me to enter the Bread of Life Church and establish 611. Pastor Chow said at the anniversary celebration that 611 belongs to the Bread of Life Church; I also firmly believe that we are one family in God’s kingdom!

Even more coincidentally, 46 years ago I joined the Bread of Life Church, and looking forward to 46 years later, the vision of Planting Trees of Life Everywhere will be fulfilled! And the year of fulfilment, perfectly, will be 2070, which is exactly the 70th anniversary of 611! How can there be so many coincidences? These are not things that humans can plan, but rather out of God’s hand — it’s all miracle! I am even more convinced that I am chosen by God, a tree of life planted by Him! He is leading us down the path of the Tree of Life!

At the celebration of our mother church’s 70th anniversary, I shared the vision of Planting Trees of Life Everywhere and reviewed how in 2018, as I received the vision on a cruise, God confirmed it with the concurrent appearance of the sunset and the rising moon. All audience felt how real God was! Even our own co-workers were once again filled with the Holy Spirit, with their faith on the vision renewed! Dear brothers and sisters, let us continue to follow God with faith to become trees of life and to plant Trees of Life! ■【2024.10.27】
