Fortress Revival Never Ends

The Fortress Prayer Meeting of our church held every Tuesday evening has attracted over seven hundred brothers and sisters each week. The fire of prayer never ceases and the flame of revival becomes stronger and stronger. Prayer is our weapon in facing the enemy and the Fortress Prayer Meeting will continue.

We received Psalm 46 this January and it was mentioned in verse 7, “The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.” The original word for “refuge” is “fortress.” We are to be effortless in God’s fortress. Thus, starting in April, we initiated the weekly Fortress Prayer Meeting to be held on Tuesday evenings. The Mid-Autumn Festival, China National Day, as well as June 11th of both the solar and the lunar calendars all fell on Tuesdays, hence we returned to God’s house and prayed. I know it’s out of God’s leading and He is well pleased by this prayer meeting, which shall not end.

Earlier this year, we had a trip to Africa and the darkness of powers and evil spirits left me physically and mentally exhausted. Not only did I lose five kilograms, I also lost sleep and attention. Once I even fell off my bed. I was unable to attend morning devotion. However the Fortress Prayer Meeting has renewed my strength. I have realized that we are a bride wrestling in darkness, relying on our Beloved Who loves and protects us in order to overcome darkness.

God has given us the vision of planting Trees of Life everywhere in 52 years, but we also face attacks and turmoil among nations. Our strategy is to follow God closely and pray and wait for His revelation together — not relying on human strength to plan, but waiting for God to accomplish it Himself. For the past 23 years, 611 has not had a fixed weekly prayer meeting because MG discipleship had already consumed us a lot of time and energy. Prayer took place within cell groups and at the monthly prayer meetings, rather than the traditional fixed Wednesday evening meetings. It has been more than six months since the Fortress Prayer Meeting first began, the cell groups have not been affected. Cell leaders even bring their members along to gather and pray before starting their own group meetings. It is effortless and joyful for all. What an unexpected outcome!

Dear brothers and sisters, I encourage you to come to the Mercy Seat to run into the Fortress, to follow God together incessantly!■【2024.10.13】
