Celebrating Sukkot

Celebrating Sukkot

For many centuries the Global church community has traditionally celebrated the Birth of Jesus Christ every year on 25th of December. Of course, celebrating the birth of Christ is something we love to celebrate and should do even in our daily lives.

The truth is, we celebrate this day in December without any biblical foundation and follow after the traditions of the church and man. Imagine how wonderful it could be if we actually found substantive evidence, Biblical evidence which points to the actual birth time of Jesus. Well, we at 611 believe that we have enough Biblical evidence to joyfully celebrate Jesus birth at the time of Sukkot, known in English as the Feast of Tabernacles.

We will celebrate the feast starting tonight, 18 October at 7 30 pm, and then many of our services throughout the weekend. Saturday 5 pm and Sunday 12 30 pm are services presented in both English and Chinese.
Singing and dancing in celebration, color and music, the church drama team Kingdom artists and volunteers have been hard at work rehearsing. A musical stage drama called “The mighty Fortress” for our celebration, for encouragement and for our understanding the heart of Father God towards his children will be staged on the above dates.

We will also have many other activities this weekend, food and fun festival on the ground floor of our location. Everyone is welcome to join us in the joyful celebration of Sukkot.
