TOGETHER WE ARE ONE Warrior Bride is Rising Up

After the CALL TO ALL for all cell leaders five years ago, we called everyone again last Sunday afternoon. There we shared touching memories: C-Mo and I have discipled generation after generation, now the 6th generation cell leaders are birthed. For the past 23 years, God has renewed and transformed us gradually – from an apostolic church to a Tree of Life church as He greatly uses us. I stand in awe for His wonderful works.

Being the first cell leader ordained in 2001 and seeing the little sister from the Children Church then has now become the 6th generation cell leader, Jason was overwhelmed. Vividly, he recalled how he needed translation due to language barrier when he was called to be cell leader twenty-three years ago. It felt just like yesterday to him. I am sure God is pleased seeing all this.

In the first decade of church building, we were met with countless storms. The church moved from Fort Street in the North Point to the North Point Pier. SARS hit us later on while we were establishing the Leadership Institute. In 2007, we were forced to move to Tsuen Wan. Financial Tsunami hit us in 2008. We were met with the social movement after the Occupy Central in 2014. In the meantime, the international relations are in greater turmoil. What is God doing amid all these? He makes us Warrior Brides who must go through troubles and overcome storms.

Thankfully, God’s Hands have been protecting and surrounding us. During this cell leader gathering, we witnessed how a group of warrior brides is rising up and turning into ONE Warrior Bride, TOGETHER WE ARE ONE. At first, 611 came out of the traditional church model, we were an apostolic church that is of power ministry and five-fold ministry. As we highly esteem discipleship and life, we extract core values one by one over the time. From an apostolic church, God renews and transforms us so that we are changed in mind-set and discipleship and have thus become a Tree of Life church.

Dear brothers and sisters, how do we know that we are truly following God? When I first came back to Hong Kong, I didn’t know clearly what God wanted to do, just like when Abraham left Ur and went to the land of Canaan. God has endorsed each of our steps following Him, no man can make up this. We talk about planting churches everywhere. If it is not a Tree of Life church, why should we plant it everywhere? Hence, it is exciting to follow God! Let us continue to follow God in love and trust!■【2024.01.28】
