The Kingdom Artists Ascend
The Resurrection Day Services last week were exceptionally moving. The musical produced by the Kingdom Artists was absolutely amazing including all the actors, dances, props, music and lyrics. It vividly reenacted the biblical scenes and impressed everyone. Thank God for His Grace!
Since 2004, we have restored the celebration of biblical festivals. Through drama, we take brothers and sisters into different festivals, proclaiming God’s Truth. The Kingdom Artists were established 10 years ago. We have witnessed how this team has grown. Now, many co-workers and volunteers are committed to the team. They glorify God through drama in different festivals and services.
God blessed the Resurrection Day Musical which had seen over 100 brothers and sisters serving front and backstage. The Holy Spirit Himself brought committed and God-loving brothers and sisters to this great production team. They put in all their free time after school or work, involving production and rehearsal for the past five weeks, making this moving performance possible. Many crew members were able to invite their friends and family to come to church due to this drama. More than 30 newcomers gave their lives to Jesus in the five performances. I also notice that the Kingdom Artists, may it be music, acting, dancing or backstage arrangement, were very mobile and in unity in meeting all the changes required. They offered their best with one heart.
Many years ago, God put the blueprint of “The Kingdom Artists” in the hearts of C-Mo and me: We saw many Christian actors turn to the world or even Hollywood in order to succeed, but was it the only option? We have a dream – the church is calling Christian actors to participate in church production. Through the production of the Kingdom Artists, people understand our faith and receive the truth. It provides another way other than logical reasoning to bring people to the truth. We believe acting is a form of worship to glorify our God.
Over the years, God has been answering our prayer as I see how the Kingdom Artists are maturing and raising up many brothers and sisters. Moreover, God gave us the stage of the Mercy Seat, the dance studio which is the same size as the real stage in the media center and a professional recording studio. With all this hardware, our productions are maturing. I am more thankful that new co-workers and volunteers keep joining and growing. They exercise their gifts in different performances. Through this team, the Resurrection Day Musical has truly reenacted the truth of Resurrection!
