At Peace with God from Generation to Generation

Recently schools have early summer holidays due to the pandemic and our Youth Army has held a two-day online camp to pastor the college and secondary school students and get them connected with God. I am deeply thrilled for this and couldn’t help but giving thanks!

Two weeks ago Pastor Joash and his wife Crystal preached the message on the Seventh of the Eight Beatitudes: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” (Matthew 5:9) They shared how they practised the truth among young people, spreading the gospel widely and pastoring in-depth, as peacemakers to reconcile people with God. They also encouraged the youth to bring people before God. Right after their preaching, the Youth Army launched the UNI-verse Camp which received about 250 young people. The joy and excitement burst out from the screens. Their hearts and souls were greatly filled. The young generation has achieved what we couldn’t. Thank God for choosing and using them.

Twenty years ago God sent C-Mo and me from Vancouver to Hong Kong to establish 611. We pastored the energetic Adino and Debby and they started the youth ministry to raise up the younger generation like Joash and Crystal, who in turn have led the new generation to become leaders and cell group leaders to pastor youngsters of this generation. As I follow God, they follow God with me from generation to generation, bringing people to reconcile with God. What a beautiful and touching picture.

Resurrection Day is coming. As we commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus, the Son of God that reconciles us with the Heavenly Father, we are to follow His footsteps and respond to His great love. In the Old Testament, Moses received the Ten Commandments and made a covenant with God at the mountain and the Israelites became God’s people. The Ten Commandments are the ordinances of God’s people. Now in the New Testament, Jesus taught us the Eight Beatitudes, which are Kingdom ordinances. As God’s people, not only should we be connected with God, we shall reconcile people with God as Jesus did. We will surely be called sons of God and granted all the Kingdom inheritance. We will have peace and bountiful blessings.

Dear brothers and sisters, let us continue to do God’s will, spreading the good news of the Heavenly Kingdom and bringing people before God, to pass on the Kingdom blessings from generation to generation!
