Fear Not in the Presence of Holy Spirit

This week marks the 100th episode of “Following God”. Meanwhile Hong Kong is in its severest moment amidst the pandemic. People are in panicking. However, overlooking the red line under Ting Kau bridge at night and Noah’s ark from my new house, I remember that God had moved me to preach the Jehoshua 2022 message at the beginning of this year. From this, I am reassured that God is in our midst!

611 Church has been following God since its establishment. C-Mo and I, joined by Bail and Ruby at a later time, came back to Hong Kong all the way from Canada because we wanted to follow God. For twenty years, the Holy Spirit, our Comforter, has been leading us till today!

I am especially thankful that God has been helping me through C-Mo. I work hard on studying God’s Word. On the other hand, C-Mo is direct in speech, upright in heart and simple in thought. Hence God delights to talk to her. Her decision may not make sense to some but is anointed. Now I have realized that this is the breath of the Holy Spirit which is helping me enormously through C-Mo. Whenever I dig deeper at the reminder of C-Mo, I dig out a spring! It happens to me very often.

At the breath of the Holy Spirit, we have the “Heartified Ten Commandments”. C-Mo reminded me not to preach over all the Ten Commandments in one go. Instead, I should follow God’s timing. So we took a break after preaching the Fourth Commandment last year. Initially, I had planned to begin the Fifth Commandment as soon as physical gatherings resume. However, being sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, C-Mo pressed the “restart” button at the Chinese New Year. This decision brings wonderful results.

In the past, many people were unable to honor their parents in the real sense. They were either rebellious or, at the other end of the pendulum, obedient without the truth. Both are against God’s will. Recently when we prayed for the pandemic and repented for the land, many co-workers had a deep reflection and knelt down in tears to repent. They then took action. As a result, their relationships with their parents were restored and this has brought revival to the lives of the whole co-worker group. How grateful I am for this!

Dear brothers and sisters, God is really in our midst! However the pandemic might continue, we shall not fear. We are to follow God alone, trusting Him wholeheartedly. We will surely experience His faithfulness and goodness!■【2022.02.27】
