Returning to Garden of Eden with Love and Trust

As led by God, at the end of “Victories 2021”, we have begun preaching on “Love and Trust”. It helps us to understand His will and follow Him closely.

On 21 November, I started off by preaching on Genesis 2 and 3 titled, “Returning to Garden of Eden with Love and Trust”. When I was preparing the message, it happened that Pastor Debby and her husband Joseph were encountering great difficulty in their 18-year marriage. It almost went out of hand due to a long period of hiding and suppression. Thank God that Joseph was willing to heed the advice of C-Mo and me and stayed in Cheung Chau in solitude for several days. God shone His light on him and he discovered how he had hurt his wife deeply with cold violence and distrust. Upon such reflection, he made apologies to her to restore their marriage that was at the brink of breakdown. They shared their testimony on Sunday and it matched exactly with the theme of my message. God was truly leading us.

Now Joseph’s life has had a great breakthrough under love and trust. He praises his wife often and is willing to open up himself and shares with all family members. He has begun to return to the Garden of Eden by God’s grace. Recently they have just led a Couples’ Camp and released lots of nutrients. Joseph demonstrated how to receive his wife’s emotions. He was no longer indifferent, instead, he understands her feelings. His apology showed deep repentance and great affection, bringing great comfort to his wife.

Two weeks later, when Pastor Anna was preaching on “the Woman by the Well”, another disciple of mine, Dily was in a tense relationship among her mother, her daughter and her. Likewise, she took C-Mo’s advice and went to visit her mother who had been refusing to see her for eight years. That visit successfully broke the deadlock. Meanwhile, she also restored her relationship with her daughter. Coincidently her husband Pastor Barnabas preached on the resurrection of Lazarus in the following Sunday service to illustrate love and trust, and it was matched by her moving testimony. I was deeply touched and believe it was God’s perfect will in His time. How wonderful God’s work is!

Moreover, C-Mo and I have been in full force writing Part 2 of Homebound! Brothers! . Originally the book was intended to be of one volume. However, due to the rich messages, C-Mo advised to divide it into two parts. Part one was published May this year. At first, I could not accept her advice. But later I chose to lay aside my opinions and listen to my wife. Afterwards, I realized God’s will: if we had published the book in a rush, we would have missed a lot of recent insights and valuable testimonies. It’s right for me to accept my wife’s help. That is love and trust.

I hereby bless all 611 brothers and sisters to follow God in love and trust so that we all build happy and blessed families.■【2021.12.26】
