The Big Ring Department — Admin and Discipleship

Our church has entered into a brand new beginning of heaven and earth after walking through twenty years! God has quickened His pace and keeps doing new things among us. We have just released Pastor Deborah and Pastor Debby to be “unbound prophets” and now the new wine is overflowing into our Administration Department.

In our recent curator staff’s retreat, we have decided to merge the MG Department which supports the pastoral care and discipleship of our church’s cell groups into the Administration Department to become the “Big Ring Department”. It is now the biggest department, with almost 70 co-workers and led by C-Mo and me. Its department head is Pastor Ruby and the deputy heads are Cherry, an MG leader and Samuel, one of our curator staff.

At the early stage of our church, we set up the “Administration Department” for administrative purposes. During the past years, a few people had been the department head but they were changed. Later on, it was changed to “Administration and Supporting Department”: focusing on ministry – supporting various departments. With the sprouting and development of our vision of “Planting Trees of Life Everywhere in 52 Years”, the organization chart of our church has been transformed into the shape of a tree ring, with God’s love and the discipleship of C-Mo and me at the centre, radiating to the surrounding pastoral zones including Children and Family, Youth Army, Abundant 120, ANEW and branch churches. These zones are surrounded and supported by departments including the Mighty Worship Department, the Media and Finance Department and others. Outside and surrounding all these is the Administration Department, providing all-round support to enable the rigorous growth of the whole tree of life.

Up to this day, we have received from God more deeply that building up the tree of life is to develop the Being of every co-worker as well as brother and sister, focusing on the growth of a person’s life and his/her connection with God. So we have merged the MG Department, which is to supply nutrition to cell leaders, into the Administration Department. In this way, pastoral care can penetrate into our administrative work so that our co-workers can be more open-hearted and receive better discipleship. The new department becomes the “Big Ring Department” and is located at the outer ring of the whole tree ring, surrounding all zones and departments so that the whole team of co-workers will keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of love and edify the body of Christ together.

In fact, “MG12” was the prompting and blueprint that God has put in my heart before the establishment of 611 so that our church will focus on discipleship and the growth of life. Now as our church is welcoming the new cycle, I am very grateful that God is working to assimilate discipleship into every aspect of our church. Discipleship is to make disciples of all the nations, directing us to follow God and to get our younger generations connected. In this way, the whole church will lead peoples of all nations to connect with God. May the Holy Spirit continue to lead us to emphasize discipleship and touch the heart of God at a deeper level. ■【2021.11.21】
