This Father’s Day, I was very happy, as I received gifts from my children. Moreover, I led all the congregation to devote our blessings to our heavenly Father and confederate with Him, so that His heart would be well pleased. Our Heavenly Father is truly good to us. He has been leading and blessing us with His words and miracles through all these years.
We have just celebrated our 20th Anniversary. We pursued Revival for the first decade, and Transformation for the second. Now, we are entering the third decade: our heavenly Father asks us to confederate with Him. Looking back at the past two years, there have been many difficulties and changes during the pandemic, but as we follow God, we are really closely interlocked with Him, and our level of receiving truth is also going up.
In the Morning Devotion this March, God revealed to us: “And let it be, when these signs come to you, that you do as the occasion demands; for God is with you.” (1 Samuel 10:7) He encouraged us to do as the occasion demanded, no matter how the situation would change; nothing can stop us as He is with us!
When the pandemic was severe, we had online services and cell groups, and we kept discipleship going. When the pandemic slowed down a bit and religious gathering restrictions started to relax, we opened up 30 percent of our capacity for physical gatherings. Whatever the circumstances might become, we just follow God in moving forward.
In early June, the pandemic started to stabilize, so we started to resume baptisms – every 4th Sunday of the month starting from June 27. On that very week, the government announced that the number of participants allowed at religious activities would be increased from 30 percent capacity to 50 percent capacity, starting from June 24. As a result, our brothers and sisters were able to bring more relatives and friends to join the baptism service, and a total of 112 people were baptized! When we do as the occasion demands and follow God, He really is with us!
I still remember that at the beginning of the pandemic, I encouraged brothers and sisters not to give up, but to continue to disciple and follow God, ready for the flood of newcomers that would come when physical gatherings could finally resume. Now, it has really happened. No matter what the world might become, God is in control. He sees us and protects us. We follow God in faith, and He blesses us ceaselessly.
Dear brothers and sisters, God is real! May all of us connect with God closely, and become a Tree of Life. As we continue to grow, God will shine upon us with the sun of righteousness and give us strength!■【2021.07.04】
