He who follows God is never shaken

The 20th Anniversary has just passed but our excitement and thrill still linger. The fragrance of Tree of Life is getting stronger, attracting people to follow God. Also, it is radiating to the world, bringing peace amidst the present turbulence.

The first Sunday following the Anniversary happened to be the Pentecost and our MG leaders continued to give thanks on stage. Meanwhile, in the Youth Zone, our youth also gave thanks through dances, harp-playing and drama. As the number of people allowed for on-site service is limited during the pandemic, everyone is busy doing online reservation. Many cell leaders and brothers and sisters give their hard-booked seats to new friends. How proud I am of them! Some new friends just turned up at our church on their own accord. They were watching our online messages. As soon as onsite gatherings were resumed, they made reservation and turned up in church. I deeply sense the presence of God in our midst.

Such atmosphere has also spread to our branch churches. Pastor David Lim of Kuching 611 in Malaysia sent us a photo of Eucalyptus after knowing that we put the concept derived from the Eucalyptus in our anniversary décor. It’s amazing that two nights before our Anniversary, his wife Esther Lau had a dream when she saw a tree. God told her that the tree should shed its bark, even for four layers. Afterwards she heard C-Mo’s sharing in our Anniversary and realized that God wanted them to grow continuously. Not only did they go to the forest and find the Eucalyptus on the Pentecost, they also bought twelve Eucalyptus saplings which they planted on the Prayer Hill. Then they can witness how the saplings grow and shed bark. Three years later, the tree will be full of colors.

Upon hearing the message of “Cultivation of Joy” during Anniversary, our branch churches in the Philippines have also located Eucalyptus. After connecting with us for the anniversary celebration, our branch churches in Taiwan have suspended on-site services due to pandemic. From these, I see that God is also with our branch churches.

These days, we have been overwhelmed with the frightening news of outbreak of wars, political turmoil, ravaging pandemic and economic downturn. Despite these, we continue to spread the fragrance of Tree of Life, preaching good news and proclaiming God’s Word in order to bring life, hope and peace to people. Truly, I am grateful to have such a great media team.

Isaiah 61 is our vision. Amid the difficulties of the whole world, we can still keep growing because the Spirit of God is upon us. He has sent us to rise up and serve Him. He has cultivated us to be Tree of Life that He may be glorified. Though the world is in turbulence, we follow God and we will never be shaken. Instead, we shall continue to bring people to return so that they may come back to the house of God!■【2021.05.23】
