Cultivating Tree of Life with Joy for 20 Years

This Sunday is Mother’s Day, which also marks the 20th Anniversary of our church! Thank God for continuously cultivating 611 to be a Tree of Life for the past 20 years and we have experienced His riches and amazing leading.

In retrospect, our first service fell on the Mother’s Day which was not my intention, but of God’s leading. When we first came back to Hong Kong to establish our church, we planned to do cell groups only at the start and attend Sunday service at other churches. But then a member proposed to have our own service. So we decided to start 611’s first service that week which happened to be the Mother’s Day!

This coincidence means a lot to us. A Chinese prophet once prophesized to C-Mo and me, saying that C-Mo would bear child. Thrilled hearing that, I even bought maternity clothes and prayed for her every day. Later on we realize that she shall bear not a biological child but a spiritual one – a church. God led us to begin our first service on Mother’s Day, confirming that our church is from God and we are to become the parents of all members. His thoughts are truly higher than our thoughts!These past 20 years, God has given us revelations in abundance – He shows us that the revival of a church starts from the revival of family. Hence we esteem highly the establishment of families. The first camp 611 held was Couples’ Camp which has transformed many marriages and families for the past years.

For the celebration of our 20th Anniversary, we have published the book Return Home, Brothers . It combines what I have received from God, the experiences accumulated from couples’ camps and the life testimonies of many husbands and wives. It is to express God’s will in creating men, pointing out a way out for men after they have sinned. Why do men need to return home? It is because they need to return to the Garden of Eden and back to God. This is not only the way out for families, but also for all mankind today!

Thank God for continuously cultivating 611 and making our lives rich and joyful. Therefore our anniversary is themed “Cultivation of Joy”.

When we were still contemplating the theme, we found two Rainbow Eucalyptuses in a park. We were nicely surprised to see such colorful trees in Hong Kong. It was also to confirm the vision that God has given us to become the Tree of Life! We decided to put the concept derived from the Eucalyptus into our anniversary décor. The Rainbow Eucalyptus shows that when the Tree of Life grows to a certain stage, the colors will be richer and fuller. So we encourage co-workers and brothers and sisters to wear one of the colors of the tree on their dresses on the day of Anniversary to show that each of us is a member of the Tree of Life.

Dear children, let us thank God for His nutrients, watering and pruning us for the past 20 years so that we, this Tree of Life may grow sturdily. I believe that the hand of God will continue to cultivate so that we may plant Tree of Life everywhere in order for His glory to fill all the earth!■【2021.05.09】
