Impossible River, Incredible Wonder

Praise God, ANEW has turned 9 years old! What a joyous celebration we had! With the theme of “Joshua Generation”, the brothers and sisters were greatly blessed, and encouraged to cross over the Jordan river!

All of the ANEW co-workers and Bible School students got up, in the order that they joined, and tearfully shared how their lives had been transformed – leading the brothers and sisters to do the same. Praise God, many sisters even shared about how their families have been safe even through the consecutive typhoons striking the Philippines!

Many of the ANEW cell leaders received gifts in reward for their dedication to their flock for the year, and we received yet another gift – Ps Joshua arrived to bless us! He encouraged us with his life story and life message: Follow God, He will lead you into the promised land.

At the time that Israel crossed the Jordan River – into the promised land – it was harvest time, and the river was totally flooded. It may have been up to 60 metres deep, and the Lord stopped up the river to allow the nation to cross over on dry ground! Truly, this river was impossible to cross – yet they followed God and crossed it, it was an incredible wonder!

Brothers and sisters, we all have our own rivers – even impossible rivers – to cross. Be it our circumstances, worries for our families, or even our own self-image – let us be bold and follow God. Surely we shall see incredible wonders, and surely we shall cross over!•[2020.11.22]
