Over the past 14 weeks, the pandemic has caused on-site meetings to be suspended. Now, the church has gradually resumed Morning Devotion and various meetings. Last week (31 May 2020), the worship services were opened to cell leaders. Coinciding with the Pentecost, the presence of the Holy Spirit greatly filled our worship. With the sounding of the Shofar and dancing with flags, we presented the thanksgiving offering with the branch churches, thanking God for His grace and protection during the pandemic.
Despite adapting their societies to the pandemic for the past five months, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan turned from being the most dangerous pandemic areas to being the safest areas. With God’s protection, not only did they not have to undergo severe lockdown, but also their infection and death rates were among the lowest in the world. While the pandemic is still spreading in the America, the situations of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan are largely under control. As the controls on gatherings have been gradually relaxed, we gradually move toward normal life. We offered our deep gratitude to God.
Including the mother church in Hong Kong, in total 15 churches of 611 across Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan connected online simultaneously. Senior Pastor led the Curator Staff to give thanks and present offerings. Pastor Jason gave thanks on behalf of the mother church for the Holy Spirit leading us to arrange the anti-epidemic measures early. Meanwhile, there has been breakthrough and flourishing of the media ministry, as they attain greater influence than ever. Pastor Deborah’s encouraging and comforting prophecy exhorted everyone to have greater hope for the future.
