A New Church Anniversary: The Rise of Media

Due to the Pandemic, for the past 12 weeks since 15 February, the on-site worship services have been moved online. God orchestrates everything and has even upgraded the church media system, which was previously unable to handle live broadcast, and has sent us new co-workers from around the world to join us. The Holy Spirit continues to lead and renew us. Besides livestreaming church services and holding cell meetings with Zoom, the completion of the Media Centre in Young Ya allows more discipleship through the media. Our media discipleship includes simultaneous online lessons with overseas Bible Schools, online equipping courses, and Children Church’s Story Corner. Even the Bulletin columns “Pastor’s Note” and “Words of C-Mo” are now changed to online interviews, “Following God” and “Mama’s Kitchen”. Two new developments in the social media, “Family So Much Fun,” and “611 Church Telegram channel,” are raising many media pioneers to start a new chapter of the gospel broadcast station.

Our God is the God who does new things. It will be the 19th Church Anniversary next week and it will be our first time to hold online celebration, with the message of “Seeing is repentance, and repentance is seeing”. May we keep up with God’s pace. Beautiful things shall happen in such a special church anniversary this year. May we experience God’s goodness and faithfulness together, may His springs flow to our distress.•
