His Miraculous Healing in Sukkot

Shalom! My name is Cindy and I am from Indonesia. For one year, I have worked in Hong Kong, and have joined 611 Indonesian congregation. Today I want to share with you the miracle happened to me when I was baptized at 611 during Sukkot celebration on 30 September 2018!

I am the firstborn of my mother, having five younger brothers who were born to a different father because when I was one year old, my own father abandoned me. Recently my mother was diagnosed with kidney cancer, lung infection, high blood pressure, and excess stomach acid – so she would need an operation. When I heard the news, I felt devastated. I wanted to go home and take care of her, but as I hadn’t finished my contract, I couldn’t. Therefore, I was crying praying everyday and I encouraged her to fight for her life while I paid for her medicine. I couldn’t afford such a major operation, and other relatives live far away and find it a great burden to care for my mother. My younger brothers were the only one left to care for her, but they didn’t want to either. I felt angry and resentful with them – it felt like they just wanted my help and money, but had turned their backs on me now that my mother needed their help and money!

But I praise God. In 611, I have learnt that the greatest gift of all is forgiveness. I have learnt that we have no right to judge others – only God does. I have learned that we must be patient and continue praying, as God is always listening and can always perform miracles. I thank God for my cell leader, whom I have considered to be my spiritual mother in Hong Kong and she helped me a lot.

During the Sukkot celebration and before water baptism, I prayed “Lord, today I will start a new page in my life. Today I will start to believe in You and follow Your commands. I have little hope, but here is my request: My mama is ill, and I am unable to help. Please God grant me just one miracle, not for me, but for my mama and my little brothers who need her.” Then I was baptized.

Later on, I found out that God had indeed performed miracle, my mother was completely healed from the cancer and she is now pain free! All Glory and Honor and Praise be to our God! • [2018.10.28]
