Mutual Understanding and Authentic Communication: The Liberation
Brother Cyril and Sister Vicki
Brother Cyril and Sister Vicki share their experience of having a child with autism. Brother Cyril works full-time, while Sister Vicki takes care of their child. Both of them carry a lot of pressure, but they find it difficult to share their negative feelings with each other. Through expression and retelling during a couples’ camp, Sister Vicki feels understood, and their relationship begins to change. They also learn not to suppress their emotions and to communicate effectively, finding the language of love and supporting each other to the fullest.
