RAW: Restore the Authentic Worship (1)

During the monthly prayer meeting on 8th Aug, C-Mo told of some of the revelations and understanding she had on worship:

“On 4th Aug I convened worship leaders, sharing with them my comprehension of worship. Church worship must go back to the basic. God neither calls for fancy stuff during worship nor demands of fixed song arrangements on Sunday services. God simply desires authentic worship from us. What is an authentic worship? It is simple and pure worship from the heart.

During my sharing, God gave me an English word: RAW. Hearing that, I invited them to seek the meaning of each alphabet from God. Unanimously, they agreed that RAW stood for “Restore Authentic Worship”. It gave me the impression that God wanted our worship to go back to most basic, original and real style. There should be no whitewash or cover-up in us because God knows very well who we are. Worship before the Lord shall be authentic, open and transparent. As we pursue authentic worship, we shall become authentic worshippers. From now on, we are not to “practice worship” because authentic worship comes not from practice. Worshipping the Lord is to give Him authentic worship. Hence we are playing in a band as well as worshipping the Lord.

Let’s have the most authentic worship toward God whether in church, at home or in marketplace to glorify His Name!•
