I joined the 611 Bread of Life Christian Church in 2013, and I am profoundly grateful for the loving support of my cell group leader, whose encouragement has been a tremendous blessing to me. I believed my calling was confined to my professional life for many years, and I never felt compelled to enroll in a daytime Bible School. However, in 2021, God prompted me to attend an admissions session for the Bible School. During Pastor Jason’s sharing, one statement particularly resonated with me: as he introduced the Issachar Practicum, he said, “If you don’t stay updated with the news every day, you will struggle; you need to enroll in the Bible School and participate in the Issachar Practicum!” At that moment, I felt as though I had been struck by lightning, and I instinctively knew that this call was meant for me. In response, I enrolled in the two-year daytime program.

The learning experience at the Bible School has been incredibly enriching. It encompasses the teaching of biblical truths and a strong emphasis on personal development, helping each student discover their own identity and seek God’s calling for their lives. In this light, I also wanted to express my own identity by engaging in the Issachar calling! I remember during the pandemic when I made my first Issachar report, analyzing the news about Hong Kong’s pandemic situation via Zoom with various branch churches and leading intercessors in prayer for our city. Gradually, I realized that God was guiding me toward a calling to pray for the nations. I experienced God speaking to me multiple times during this time, even revealing specific prayer focuses for the countries I reported on.

The support of the school’s teachers has been invaluable. They have guided, nurtured, and trained me, even staying up late to assist with my speech revisions. This support has enabled me to gain clearer insight, broaden my perspectives, and serve more freely.

I never imagined enrolling in a full-time program, nor did I think that my passion for reading the news could be utilized by God for something I love while also serving Him. This has brought me immense joy! Today, I am dedicated to praying for the nations, filled with a burning desire for God’s kingdom to come swiftly. I feel honored to participate in the prayer meetings and am profoundly grateful for the Bible School and God’s guidance!
