In the monthly prayer meeting on 6 December, Pastor Debby shared her discipleship tips:

First of all, I take my cell members to do what I enjoy doing. I love to play, but not doing same thing week in and week out. In the past, we went hiking and held cooking competition. During Chinese New Year, we did calligraphy with cell members’ names to bless them. Truly, I delight in discipleship this way because my cell members enjoy as well. As we play together, deep and strong relationship is established among cell members. During my early day of discipleship, cell members only went to cell leader individually to pour out their hearts. After playing together and
building relationship, the spiritually mature ones will reach out to the young ones. Cell group interaction is greatly boosted.

Moreover, I learn from Pastor Joshua and C-Mo to be transparent and to open up my life. With my eyes, I saw them arguing before everyone during cell group. In my opinion, one should not wash dirty linen in public. But then, I realize my security is building up because I do not wonder what is happening to them. Out of this sense of security, my relationship with Ah Hong (my husband) can be transparent and laid bare before our cell members. Cell members know when we argue and we even discuss in whatsapp group. Afterwards, I will share with cell members how Pastor Joshua and C-Mo help me and Ah Hong handle marriage relationship. They realize their cell leaders have weaknesses and couples do argue. In this way, their security toward us grows and they are willing to express their needs. A more intimate relationship is thus fostered among us.•
